What's the purpose of the MSI file?

  • Updated

The MSI file is a software component of Microsoft Windows that every user should install on their device.
It will be your online bridge between the Print & Reconciliation module of Scilife and the system from which you print a document.

A user will then have the choice to select the virtual printer 'Scilife-Controlled Print' (Windows component), every time the user prints documents. Here is how it will look:

Relevant for: Administrators / Managers / Regular Users.
Please note: Your three environments (Test, Validation and Production) can all use the same MSI, the user will have the option to change the end-point depending which environment is being used.
