There are 3 Scilife environments:
- Test environment.
- Validation environment.
- Production environment.
Test environment
The URL to your test environment will be [companyname]-test.scilife.io
The purpose of the test environment is for you to try out the system. Test and Production Environments versions are aligned making the Test Environment the perfect place to train yourselves and your colleagues.
Users in the Test environment are not invoiced.
The test environment is differentiated visually from the rest of the environments by a yellow line at the top of the application.
Validation environment
The URL to your validation environment will be [companyname]-val.scilife.io
The validation and production environments will be the same except when new versions have been released.
New releases are first deployed to your validation environment, you will then have two months to go over the validation documentation before the new releases are deployed to production.
Besides the two-month validation period, your validation and production environments will be the same with regard to functionality, therefore your validation environment is ideal for testing the different existing functionalities before you use them in production.
Production environment
The URL to your final production environment will be [companyname].scilife.io
- Only Users in the production environment are invoiced.
- The databases of the three environments are completely separated.
- Storage of the three environments is also not the same.
- In order to access each environment you will need a User profile for each of them.
