When uploading a document, the maximum file size allowed is 500MB.

The maximum file sizes that are viewable from the viewer are as follows:
- DOCX > 100MB
- PPTX > 100MB
- XLSX > 25MB
If the file uploaded is larger than the maximum, viewable file size a message will be displayed 'File size is too large to be viewed in the online viewer. Please download and view it on your device'.
The file will still be stored and available in Scilife but not visible from the document viewer.

Please note:
- There is no limit to the amount of files that can be added to a specific Scilife item, however there is a maximum file size which is 500MB per session (for example in the comment section of 1 Document you could add 5x 100MB files.
