The numbering of ID's

  • Updated

On Document Type level, you will define at least one ID Prefix (ID Prefix per document Type). This ID Prefix will be used when you create a new Document.
For instance, you have a Document Type ‘Standard Operating Procedure’ with ID Prefix ‘SOP-’. Each time you create a new document, based on the Document Type ‘Standard Operating Procedure’, it will take the ID Prefix ‘SOP-’ + consecutive number.

Basically, your Document ID (LINK to DOCUMENT IDs) will be generated automatically by Scilife and consists of ID Prefix (depending on your Document Type) + the next number in order:

Relevant for: Administrators / Managers / Regular Users.
  Please note:
  • The consecutive numbers can be changed (see LINK).
  • ID Prefix cannot be changed anymore once a document has been created upon that particular ID Prefix.
