Users can upload files directly to Projects and Design Control Items, allowing them to securely store and manage their Medical Device files in one project workspace.
Attach Files to Projects & Design Controls
A project’s Responsible Person can manage (add or remove) files to projects and Design Control items.
A Scilife Admin can manage files on a project level only.
Built-in checks ensure valid file types (based on File Configuration in Scilife Settings) and file sizes. All changes are logged in the Audit Trail.
Go to the Project/ Design Control you wish to add a file to and click + Add File
From the next pop-up click on Choose.
Once you have chosen your file click on Add.
Once added you can Save.
Or Save & New to keep adding files to the item.
View, Download & Delete Files Securely
Users with read only access to the project (via Groups) can view and download project or design control files. While only a project’s Responsible Person can delete attached files, with every action recorded in the audit trail.
Files Names Included in Report Exports
Report exports of a Design & Development project clearly indicates the relevant file names uploaded on project and design control item level for full traceability.
Access Files of Deleted Projects & Design Controls
Admins can view and download files from deleted Projects or Design Controls in Design & Development > Deleted Items to support audits or data recovery.
File Change Visibility in Comparisons
When there are changes in the files of Projects or Design Control items, the Version Comparison tool highlights these changes.
