Go to Quality Process Designer > Designer.
- Select Fields from the dropdown.

Click on the New + icon.
- Configure mandatory fields as described in How to create a Field in QPD, then Select Text Area from the Field Type dropdown.
- Provide a maximum text length.
- Toggle on/ off Rich Text editor for this Field Type.
- Toggle on/ off Mandatory for this Field Type.
- Save.
