I would like the Document ID to always have 3 digits (or more) after the ID prefix

  • Updated

It is possible to set up the document ID prefix to always have 3 digits after the ID prefix rather than the default numbering system.

An ID prefix can be configured to have a maximum of 10 digits.

For example, if configured with 3 or 5 digits then SOP 1 would displayed like this; SOP-001 or SOP-00001

To do this follow these steps:

  1. Go to Documents.
  2. Go to Module Settings.
  3. Select the General tab.
  4. Toggle on 'Enable Zero padding for ID'.
  5. Set your minimum length for the ID padding from 1-10, this can be done either by inputting the number or using the up/ down arrows.  An example of the ID can be previewed just under the number field.

Don't forget to Save your changes.
