How to enforce approval from QA for completed Tasks while in Implementing Status?

  • Updated

The duration of the Implementing status of some Change Requests may extend over various months, in which Tasks are progressively completed and closed by the Responsible Users of the Tasks. This means that QA may not get a chance to review and, if needed, reject the Tasks, until several months after they were marked as closed. It can be difficult to complete a Task again at this point, maybe the people needed to complete the Task are no longer present or other factors (missing information, material, etc.) can make it impossible to repeat the Task and ensure the right outcome.

With the default Scilife settings, QA is not asked to review and approve/reject Change Request Tasks until the Change Request reaches Under Signing by QA status.

However, in order to avoid the above scenario in which Tasks are rejected several months after they were closed, there is a setting that allows QA to Approve Tasks as soon as these are completed in Implementing status

In order to activate this setting:

  1. Go to Change Control > Module Settings.
  2. Click on Signature Settings.
  3. Toggle the correspondent switch ON.
  4. Save it.
