How to Clear Your Browser's Cache and Cookies

Sometimes, issues with websites or applications can be resolved by clearing your browser's cache and cookies. This process removes temporary files and data that your browser stores, which can sometimes become corrupted or outdated.

Please follow the instructions below for your specific browser:

Google Chrome

  1. Open Chrome on your computer.

  2. At the top right, click the three vertical dots (More) icon.

  3. Click More tools > Clear browsing data

  4. At the top, choose a time range. To delete everything, select All time.

  5. Check the boxes next to "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files."

  6. Click Clear data.

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Open Firefox on your computer.

  2. Click the three horizontal lines (Open Application Menu) icon in the top right corner.

  3. Click Settings (or Options on Windows/Linux, Preferences on macOS).

  4. Select the Privacy & Security panel.

  5. In the "Cookies and Site Data" section, click Clear Data....

  6. Make sure both "Cookies and Site Data" and "Cached Web Content" are checked.

  7. Click Clear.

  8. Confirm by clicking Clear Now in the pop-up window.

Microsoft Edge

  1. Open Microsoft Edge on your computer.

  2. Click the three horizontal dots (Settings and more) icon in the top right corner.

  3. Go to Settings > Privacy, search, and services.

  4. Under "Clear browsing data," click Choose what to clear.

  5. Select a time range from the "Time range" drop-down menu (e.g., "All time").

  6. Check "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files."

  7. Click Clear now.

Apple Safari (macOS)

  1. Open Safari on your Mac.

  2. In the Safari menu, click Safari > Preferences.

  3. Go to the Privacy tab.

  4. Click Manage Website Data....

  5. Click Remove All and then Remove Now in the confirmation dialog.

  6. To clear the cache, go to Safari > Preferences > Advanced.

  7. Check the box next to "Show Develop menu in menu bar."

  8. In the Safari menu bar, click Develop > Empty Caches.
