How to Deactivate a User:

There are two ways to deactivate a user: by editing the Users profile or directly from the User List:

Deactivating a User in the User Profile

  1. Go to MANAGE > Scilife Settings.
  2. Go to Users.
  3. In the User List, use the filters and/or search field to find the User you wish to deactivate.
  4. Once you have found the User which you wish to deactivate, click on the Actions button.
  5. Click on Edit.

  1. The User profile will open, go to Permissions > User Status, click on the switch to turn it off and deactivate the User. 
    • Save changes.

Deactivating a User directly in the User List

  1. Go to MANAGE > Scilife Settings.
  2. Go to Users.
  3. In the User List, use the filters and/or search field to find the User you wish to deactivate.
  4. Once you have found the User which you wish to deactivate, Select the user by clicking on the check box to the left of the User name.
  5. Go to the With Selected drop-down menu at the bottom of the User list. Select Deactivate.
  6. Click Apply.

How to Deactivate Users in bulk

Follow the same steps as in the explanation and screenshot above (Deactivating User directly in User List) but in steps 3 and 4 find and select all the Users you wish to Deactivate:

  1. Go to MANAGE > Scilife Settings.
  2. Go to Users.
  3. In the User List, search for the Users you wish to Deactivate. Use filters in order to get the right Users in the list, for instance filtering by User Functions, Status, etc.
  4. Once you have found the Users you wish to Deactivate, select them by clicking on the check box to the left of their name.
  5. Go to the With Selected drop-down menu at the bottom of the User list.
  6. Select Deactivate and then click Apply.

  Relevant for: Administrators / Managers / Regular Users
  Please note:
  • Deactivating Users is to be used when a User temporarily needs to be deactivated in order not to have Trainings nor functions assigned to him/her. This could be the cause for example when a user will be on leave due to maternity, illness, or other. 
  • When a User is Deactivated you will still be billed for them. If you don't wish to be billed for them you need to delete them. Once a User has been deleted the user can be restored from the Deleted Items section.
