How to Delete a Folder
- Go to Documents > Folders.
- In the Folder List, use the Filters and/or Search field to find the Folder you wish to Delete.
- Select the Folder by clicking on the check box to the left.
- In the With Selected drop-down at the bottom of the list, select Delete.
- Click on Apply.
In the next window:
- Sign off electronically in order to confirm the deletion.
- Add a Reason explaining why the Folder is being deleted.
- Sign.
The system will then confirm Deleted successfully 1 out of 1 selected Folders.
Deleting Folders in bulk
If needed, you can delete Folders in bulk by selecting various folders at a time and following the same steps as above:
- Go to Documents > Folders.
- In the Folder List, use the Filters and/or Search field to find the Folder you wish to Delete.
- Select the Folders by clicking on the checkboxes to the left of each Folder.
- In the With Selected drop-down at the bottom of the list, select Delete.
- Click on Apply.
- Sign off electronically in order to confirm the deletion.
- Add a Reason explaining why the Folders are being deleted.
- Save.
Relevant for: Administrators / Managers / Regular Users.
Please note:
- Only empty Folders can be deleted.
- If there are Obsolete Documents in the Folder, you will not be able to delete the Folder. You can check for Obsolete Documents by using the Status filter in the Documents List and selecting Obsolete Documents.
- Deleted Folders can not be restored due to the hierarchical nature of data.
