Working with comments during live edit of a Document

  • Updated

When working with comments during the live edit of a Document a visible trace will be available from the Document viewer.

This is only visible in Document viewer in statuses before Approved not Published, if the comment is still live (meaning that it is still available when working in live edit).

See example below for how a resolved comment will look in the document viewer:

If the comment has been removed/ deleted by either deleting during live edits or due to edits made that render the comment not valid anymore then there will be no visible trace in the Document viewer in any status.

In the Approved not Published status and Published status the mark up is not visible in the Document viewer, but will remain within the Document viewer if it is live edited again in future.

If a Document is Force Reviewed then the mark up will become visible again as before.

Comments will continue to be available in any downloaded document that is in an editable format (e.g. docx).  From here, including the comments in a print would depend on the markup setting in the print menu of your file editor (not dependent on Scilife).
