Deleting items in the Equipment module

Equipment

Equipment can be deleted from the Equipment listing page.

  • Administrators can delete any Equipment in any status
  • Managers can delete any Equipment in the Created status if they have been assigned the QA role in the Equipment workflow.
  • Regular Users are unable to delete Equipment.

Equipment Files

In the Equipment module, you can upload files from the Equipment Edit form, the Maintenance Task Sign-off window, and the Comments

Once uploaded, all documents will be listed in the files tab with different sources: Equipment, Equipment - Maintenance, and Equipment - Comments. 

Users can view or download according to their permission role, but can only delete the files uploaded from the Comments, as follows: 

  • Administrators can delete uploaded Files regardless of having a role in the Equipment or  Task.
  • Managers can delete uploaded Files regardless of having a role in the Equipment or Task.
  • Regular users cannot delete uploaded Files in an Equipment or Task, whether they have a role or not.

  Relevant for: Administrators / Managers / Regular Users
  Please note: Files uploaded from the Equipment Edit form and the Maintenance Task Sign-off window cannot be deleted. These are files uploaded as proof that a specific piece of maintenance has been completed or as technical support related to the equipment itself.
